TOM'S MUSIC HOUSE

For fifty years, Tom's Music House in Norfolk was a center for aspiring musicians. Started as a record shop in 1946 by Tom Hughes, it grew into a gathering place for young Northeast Nebraska rockers.

Many local bands got their start on Tom's Saturday morning live rock show, broadcast on WJAG in Norfolk. The store was managed by Tony and Dixie Bussy till it closed its doors in 1996. Ironically, the store closed on the same day it was inducted into the Music Hall of Fame.
