HOWARD STREET TAVERN/JIM LUDWIG

Jim Ludwig accepts his induction plaque from Butch Berman.
Jim Ludwig made many contributions to Nebraska music in the
1970's, most notably as a nightclub owner.  In 1972, Jim founded
the now-legendary Zoo Bar in Lincoln and moved on to open The
Howard Street Tavern in Omaha in 1978.  Jim also started Candy Apple
records in 1975 and produced LP's for Sour Mash, The Heartmurmurs,
Magic Slim, and John Walker.  As a concert promoter, Jim promoted
concerts at The Royal Grove, Peony Park and the old Midwest
Speedway in Lincoln.
